GDA -

If you want, we could just call the thread "Music Education". Mjsbigblog posts stuff like that sometimes, like the Touring 101 that I posted from there on Chris' blog. In fact, I'd like to take that post and move it over here. It will be just one thread of many and people can choose to read it or ignore it. Eventually the tour will be over and there won't be as much to post anyway. So, what do you think now?
Does anyone else want to weigh in on this topic?

Download Sales Stats: Not good for Chris. I'm sure that had he lasted longer on AI, they would have been much better:

I may be naive, but I don't think his stats being low with his Idol songs is a big deal.

Rosalee,

the thread "Music Education" - proceeding with thoughtful uncertainy.

Another thread you might consider is one the URLs to sites of consistant interest be consoladated.

The stats - given the shows viewership, none of these numbers are not particularly impressive, and possibly not representative, if the tour show attendence is an indicator.

You guys are right - none of the stats are all that great. Jordin and Blake probably have bigger numbers because they attract a younger crowd. These kids are used to buying and downloading music more often. A lot of the older folk don't buy music as often and may not be computer savvy enough to know how to download. Chris was not allowed to show his "rock'n'roll" side on AI, so hopefully, with more exposure he will begin to attract more young people and boost sales. The AI tour should help somewhat since the audience gets a glimpse of him with his guitar rocking out.

The news today is that there is very little news to report. Take it from MJ:

Here is an article about the next group of potential contestants for AI. One of them, Tiffany Ballinger, is a friend of Chris.
