OK, I hate to admit this but here's how out of touch I am with todays music. I too thought Chris and Gina were going to sing the Bob Hope version of "Thanks For The Memories" and wondering why they would sing such an old song. Of course it wasn't that song, it was the one by the Fall Out Boys and BTW I've never heard of them - oh well. I did like the song and will look for it on iTune and buy it.

Don't feel too bad, I didn't get it either. We must be from the same generation

It's a great song!

Mr Dear Lady,

Reflect on this, this way, you aquired new memories, and possibly a new favorite song.

GDA

PS: apparently, I too, am part of the Bob Hope crowd.
I also perviously considred that "Crazy" may have been the Willie Nelson song that was a hit for Patsy Cline.

I also remember the Bob Hope song, but I didn't think it could be the same song - American Idol is cheesy - but not THAT cheesy!. I didn't know who Fall Out Boy was either. Also, I think Clarissa also mentioned the Bob Hope song in another thread. Yep, we're all older than dirt!

Rosalee,
That was me. I went to the concert w/my 14 yr old daughter who had not peeked to see what was in store for her like I had.
When they started into this song she moaned and said "Ugh, I can't believe they're doing Fall Out Boy". I was totally clueless. Almost said "no honey, this is called "Thanks For The Memories". ha ha ha But stopped myself when I realized that must be the name of the man/woman/group (?) who did it!!
