Great job CHRIS! So good to see you make it through another round...phew...this could raise the blood pressure a little...so much on the body! Be sure to keep up on your B vitamins...good for the excess stress hormones and adrenaline overload that are sure to be active as you ride out the competition. We're rooting for you all the way from Michigan smilies/grin.gif

GO CHRIS GO!

I was so nervous but I had hope and I'm so relieved that Chris will stick around. I would love to here him sing a love song by Meatloaf. I bet he'd totally rock the house with it. I loved Chris in the Ford Commercial. That fro was a scream!
Love,
Michelle

Phew! Dial Idol was wrong. I'm guessing that the Vote for the Worst dialers are using DI's power voting software at a higher than normal rate, which they usually do at this stage of the competition, and skewing their results accordingly. Chris wasn't even in the bottom three.

Still, I'm concerned that the judges seemed to have turned against him. Chris needs to pick a great song and sing a fairly faithful rendition just to appease the judges.

Are you going to have a thread with suggestions for what Chris should sing next week? Isn't it British invasion week? Here is one suggestion: Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying by Gerry and the Pacemakers. It would be a good showcase for his range and that wonderfully warm timber in his voice. You can catch the original version here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAV3XG673Rk.

Chris, the judges don't seem to have much of an open mind this season. PLEASE try a Roy Orbison song at some time in the competition, maybe "Crying." I believe you might blow the roof off the place, since to me your voice seems similar and within the range of what his was, and he was one of the best!!

Chris, yours is by far the best male voice up there--no contest--but you have not shown it to best advantage. I agree with the previous poster who recommended that you sing Roy Orbison. I can also hear you covering a John Denver ballad with heartbreaking purity.

P.S. Wear the glasses.

I liked the arrangement better than the original -- don't take the judges too much to heart because this week they'll tell you not to be original and next week they'll tell you that you need to be more original.

Keep the glasses. Be true to yourself -- that's much sexier than all the rest combined. And remember that Idol is your opportunity to showcase yourself to the world -- winning isn't everything, as Daughtry has proven.

Rock on!
