One of the most entertaining and hilarious moments of the Top 12 Results show was the Fro'd, I mean, Ford commercial, I mean, music video.  Click Here to watch it again or for the first time.  Chris was absolutely stylin'!  And his singing is Sligh-No-Mite!!

He's on to the next round! We are looking forward to hearing what he sings next week!!!

As a fan of American Idol, I watched the show with some confusion last night.  I thought that American Idol was all about helping young performers create a total package that will give them their best shot at stardom.  The difficulty of Diana Ross night (theme nights have proved to be almost impossible for other contestants in previous seasons) aside, I was shocked to see how some of the male contestants looked.  Since it was the first night of the Top Twelve, the night where the show really gets rolling, I expected to see that the Idol Team had been hard at work making our Top Twelve look their best.   What did I see last night?  I saw most of the boys looking like they'd been on a shopping spree at Old Navy by themselves.  Not that I have anything against Old Navy, but the boys hardly looked like stars.  Boring!  

However, there were worse things to see than boring last night.  I saw poor little Sanjaya, who has lovely silky locks, with a Shirley Temple fight wig look.  Sanjaya looked like a third rate beautician had rolled his hair but neglected to comb it out, and it was at least his second ridiculous hairstyle lately.  I saw our own beloved Chris Sligh with his fun Fro tamed, his trademark glasses gone.  WHAT?!!!!  Don't change our Chris!  Fortunately, nothing can change the amazing vocal talent that Chris always displays on the show! 

Looking back to seasons past, I remember clothes getting smarter, looks being polished rather than destroyed as seasons progressed.  Clay Aiken and Taylor Hicks are good examples of that.  Clay went from being an ultra-eighties nerd to looking like a cute little teen dream.  Taylor's unconventional good looks shone through more and more as we watched him week after week.   The girls looked great last night.  American Idol, GET BETTER IMAGE CONSULTANTS FOR THE BOYS!  PLEASE!!!!!
