A Note for GDA! 1 Year ago Karma: 20
Hey there GDA!

I've been wanting to post this on the blog but thought it'd serve it's purpose better over here. I know that you were away pretty much directly after your AI concert. So I'm assuming you didn't see the blog right after your show.

I wanted to let you know that quite the little discussion went on about how you missed getting to meet Chris by two people (that you let get in front of you in line). And Chris was supremely upset that he didn't get to meet you. I think his line was, "I'm actually pretty ticked about not getting to meet GDA." He then went on to encourage all of us bloggers to scream at him, wave our arms, do anything so that we can catch his attention and get a chance to say hi to us.

I don't remember which blog the discussion started under. But I don't think he deleted it. Maybe he did because he's cleared out a few recent ones. I just wanted to make sure you knew that Chris was very disappointed to not run into you. If a discussion like that was going on about me when I wasn't around, I'd like to know, so I thought I'd tell you!

Lori,

I thank you but it appears under "Ramblings 8-30-2007" and I've seen it.
As is, I can almost appreciate the irony that it was the perfect coda for what was not to be my evening all around.
The high sound level for much of the show and the hearing problem it reactivated during those segments effective sabotage enjoying the show.

Such is life.

I am pleased that Marleybone had a much better experience as well as getting to meet Chris.

GDA - that was sweet of you to say. I was thinking of you and frankly my feeling was that Chris would be just as curious to meet you, as you him. Meeting him is kind of surreal. Actually meeting all of the idols is. We watch them for so long and we feel like we know them. Then you get in a room with them. I mean I am never lost for words. I talked to Lakisha about how pretty she was and to Malinda about how I admired her. (They are two of my favorites.) I told Chris Rich I was touched by some of the comments he had made, (Virginia Tech, etc.) and he looked at me very sincerely and said thanks for that. I am not a big Jordin or Blake fan (did vote for Blake towards the end) but they are absolutely in their element when surrounded by an adoring mob. Sanjaya is just a wonderful kid who was charming and sweet. I joked with him about his sister and he told me he was turning 18 today (DC) and that he no longer would need a guardian. I told him I really liked her and he should keep her around. He laughed and said I think you are right. The reality is, I feel like I really know them. I can go right up to them as if they are long lost friends and they don't know me from Adam. And I came away appreciating how difficult the Idol experience is for some of these people.
