Rosalee,

In regard to:
This one shows the power of copyright laws and is a cautionary tale for anyone who publicly shares music:

The traditional copyright position, as I've understood it, is that you can copy a recording that you bought for your own use. i.e. make a copy of a recording to use in the car and keep the "original" at home.
Trouble starts when do it for friends and worse start outright bootlegging and sell them.

Morally you are basically stealing for the artist and the record company.

Of related interest is Pere Ubu's David Thomas' response to a fan trying to sell what is actually a bootleg. On the following page
http://www.ubuprojex.net/protocols.html#perm
starts with "I recently had posted the Rocket from the Tombs Jack Slack LP."
& "On the subject of YouTube... Responses to Fan Enquiries"

Also on YouTube: http://www.ubuprojex.net/
"More YouTube"

This blog post just crossed my screen and it reminded me about this old article about the state of Christian radio.

Blog post:

Steve Etheridge is at 102.3 The River Austin TX.
