I can see Lori's point (about the money). Even if you rent a hotel meeting room, or church hall, everyone still has to eat and it's still going to cost something. I still think that a picnic is not practical (for the reasons I already said). We have to compare the cost of catering in somewhere with perhaps even going to a "reasonable" restaurant. Something like the Rainforest Cafe might work. I don't think they're that expensive, and it's a festive atmosphere. I think I saw one listed in Nashville. Of course, we don't know yet if we are dealing with 10 people or 100 and we don't know the capacity of the restaurant. We also don't know if they have a separate room, or if it is conducive to "mingling". I'm just thinking out loud.

I guess some people will only stay for a day, while others will hang on for another day or two to see Nashville (and maybe take a cruise)....

I'm still offering Southern California. We can even have it at my house. I had my wedding, my daughters wedding and tons of parties here. I'll even buy the food. lol..I know, its to far for all of you fans on the east coast.
But it would be almost free..I have room on my floor, only 1 extra bedroom but I have enough family here to put anyone up who wants to stay.
I'll even throw in airport shuttle service.
The problem would be the concert. I guess we could have it here at my house also. Had bands here before.
Church, not a problem. We can all go to my daughters church. Great music there.

Unfortunately Cathy, if it's in California I will not be able to attend. With an eye-rolling husband and an infant, it might as well be on the moon.

And I can speak for Carrie too I think.

Maybe they can get more involved and be in other locations in other years. That could be fun!

Yeah Lori..I was really only kidding. I know it is way to far for most of you. Believe me it is much easier for a couple of us to come your way than a bunch of you coming my way. Wherever & whenever this takes place it will be so much fun. I am really looking foward to coming to Nashville. I've never been there & have wanted to for a really long time. So this is a great reason to come. I'm hopeing to make it a vacation & see some sights of the south. And I really can't wait to have some real Southern Sweet Tea. I doubt if it is the same here in California.
