| About Chris Sligh Productions |
Hey, my name is Chris Sligh. You may know me from the very popular show American Idol. Or maybe you don't. Either way, mostly I'm known as a singer/songwriter/artist...I'm currently signed to Brash Music, an indie label based out of Atlanta. My debut label album came out May 6, 2008, so I'm excited about that.
What I am equally as excited about is producing. Every free minute I get, I'm in my home studio working on different ideas and exploring every production option available to me. I run pro-tools and have several great pre-amp options at home, as well as just about any plug-in effect and sound library available. Living in the Nashville area, I also have just about any kind of studio or musician available at just about any time.
Honestly, my main production style is in the pop/rock genre, since it's where most of my music falls. However, I am in love with electro-pop, pop in general, as well as some r&b. I am not a jazz guy, so if you're looking to make a standards album I'm honestly not the guy for you. But if you're looking to make a rock, pop or r&b album, I might be the guy. I am currently looking for artists to help reach the next level of their careers, specifically this summer of '08 I have some openings.
Just because I always wondered what the process was before I started recording, I'll give you an idea of how this would work...if you're interested in recording, you can contact me here, letting me know what kind of project you're wanting to do (i.e., genre, album or EP or just a song), what kind of act you are (solo artist/vocalist, solo singer/songwriter/player, band, etc), and when you're looking to record. If it looks like something I'm interested in, I'll ask to hear some music. If you don't write, then we can talk about trying to get some songs for you...we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. If you are looking for a producer to provide tracks for you to write over, I can do that also...again, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
