Check out the MP3 recording of the live show at Rickey.org The judges said he was off-beat and even Chris admitted it, but when you listen to the recording he sounds amazing and I'm not hearing the off-beatness at all.

I just listened again and there is a weird reverb on his voice....and I think where he might be off-beat is on the chorus....but the rest he's RIGHT on.....and that MP3 sounds awesome! Can't wait to buy the recording tomorrow

I noticed it immediately. I think the judges were distracted by the echo. What was up with that? Phil had a tiny bit of the reverb, but it was annoyingly loud during Chris's performance.

Seriously, can anyone give a technical explanation for the echo, how it can be manipulated and why it was so "selective"?

I am getting through prob'ly 92% of the time, which is less than top 12 night and a wee bit more than top 11 night. The busy signals are sporadic, not clustered except at the hour and half hour points.

I'll keep you posted.

It seemed to be that there was just so much going on musically with the band that it took away from him.It was a band/music thing. I like that song!
